Sensitive Skin, Confident Shave — The GroomX™ Routine
A dermatologist-informed routine to reduce irritation, razor burn, and bumps — with the GroomX™ Waterproof Digital Shaver.

If your skin flares up easily, the right prep, angle, and post-shave care make all the difference. Follow this 4-step routine to get a close, comfortable shave — without the sting.
Step 1 — Gentle prep (reduce friction first)
- Rinse with warm water to soften hair.
- Use a mild, fragrance-free cleanser; pat dry (don’t rub).
- Optional: apply a light pre-shave oil on very dry areas.
Goal: a clean, hydrated surface so the shaver glides without tugging.
Step 2 — Angle & light pressure
- Hold at ~30–45°; let the floating head do the work.
- Use short strokes on flat areas; small circles on contours.
- Keep pressure light — pressing harder increases irritation.
Tip: stretch skin gently with your free hand for a closer pass without redness.
Step 3 — Calm, then protect
- Rinse with cool water; pat dry.
- Apply alcohol-free, fragrance-free balm (with glycerin or panthenol).
- Finish with SPF if shaving in the morning.
Goal: reduce inflammation now to prevent bumps later.

Step 4 — Consistency builds comfort
Stick to the same routine for two weeks. Most sensitive skin adapts quickly when you reduce friction, watch your angle, and moisturize right after.
